Nicholas R. Dwayne
Bio
Nicholas R. Dwayne is a partner with Adelman & Gettleman, Ltd. in Chicago. His practice is focused on lending, bankruptcy, reorganization and commercial litigation. Mr. Dwayne first joined Adelman & Gettleman as an associate in April 2017. Throughout his career, he has represented both debtors and creditors in all manner of transactional and litigation challenges, including individuals and businesses ranging in size from small family-owned firms to Fortune 500 companies in federal, bankruptcy and state court, as well as in out-of-court workouts, settlements and asset sales. Mr. Dwayne was named an “Emerging Lawyer” by Leading Lawyers from 2018-24 and a “Rising Star” in Super Lawyers from 2022-24. He received his B.A. in 2007 from Marquette University and his his J.D. cum laude in 2012 from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he served as a staff member for the Elder Law Journal.
