Sasha M. Gurvitz

Sasha M. Gurvitz is a restructuring partner with KTBS Law LLP in Los Angeles and has represented clients in a variety of restructuring roles, both out of court and in chapter 11 cases in Delaware, Texas, New York, California, Nevada and Indiana. She has represented several chapter 11 debtors in complex Delaware bankruptcy cases. She has represented chapter 11 debtors in numerous mid-market Delaware bankruptcy cases. Ms. Gurvitz’s chapter 11 practice has recently been focused on mass tort, abuse, real estate, hospital, retail and restaurant cases. She serves as official committee counsel in the bankruptcy case of the Roman Catholic Bishop of San Diego and previously served as official committee counsel in 3M’s mass tort bankruptcy case, In re Aearo Technologies. Ms. Gurvitz also has represented the interests of sex abuse survivors in the Boy Scouts and USA Gymnastics bankruptcy cases. She has been ranked as an Up and Coming Bankruptcy/Restructuring Attorney by Chambers and Partners USA Guide for 2025 and has been named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” from 2019-26, and she is a member of ABI’s 2021 class of “40 Under 40.” She has written articles for several bankruptcy publications, including Colliers on Bankruptcy, Colliers Practice Guide, the Norton Adviser and Law360, and she is a frequent speaker at conferences on bankruptcy-related topics. Ms. Gurvitz received her undergraduate degree with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she graduated tenth in her class, was admitted to the Order of the Coif and was awarded the 2013 American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence.
