Bio
Brady C. Williamson is a constitutional and corporate litigator with Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. in Madison, Wis., and has taught periodically at the University of Wisconsin Law School for more than 25 years. He has successfully represented clients in the U.S. Supreme Court, and he often appears in the federal and state appellate courts on constitutional issues. In 1996, Mr. Williamson was appointed by the U.S. President to chair the National Bankruptcy Review Commission, which submitted its comprehensive recommendations to Congress, the Chief Justice and the President in 1997. He is a member of the National Bankruptcy Conference, as well as ABI and the American College of Bankruptcy. In 2009, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in New York appointed Mr. Williamson as examiner in the General Mo- tors reorganization cases. He and the firm have also have served as counsel to the fee committee in the Lehman Brothers chapter 11 proceedings, as well as the fee committee in the Energy Future Holdings Corp. reorganization. Mr. Williamson co-authored a comprehensive article on professional fees under the Bankruptcy Code in the April 2016 edition of the ABI Journal titled "The Boomerang Effect: Is there a Contract Exception to ASARCO (and if Not, What Then)?" He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
