Bio

Brendan J. Schlauch is a director with Richards, Layton & Finger, PA in Wilmington, Del., where he focuses his practice on corporate bankruptcy, bankruptcy litigation, corporate restructuring and other insolvency matters. He also provides advice and legal opinions as a member of the firm’s substantive nonconsolidation and true sale opinion teams. In addition, Mr. Schlauch has advised on a variety of commercial and secured transactions. He is named in The Best Lawyers in America’s “Ones to Watch” list and has been listed as a “Top Lawyer” in Delaware Today. Mr. Schlauch received his B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in political science and leadership studies from the University of Richmond in 2010, and his J.D. magna cum laude in 2014 from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he served as articles editor for the Ohio State Law Journal and was admitted to the Order of the Coif. He also served as a legal intern with the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C.
