Brenton Gragg
Bio
Brenton L. Gragg is senior counsel at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP in Denver, where he practices in commercial litigation and bankruptcy. He represents businesses and individuals in contract disputes, business breakups, mechanic’s lien litigation, construction defect actions, and tort claims in state and federal courts through trial and appeal. Although Mr. Gragg litigates cases of all sizes and levels of complexity, his litigation practice often involves cases with numerous parties and claims, sometimes with parallel proceedings in other courts. His bankruptcy practice involves representing creditors, debtors and bankruptcy trustees in chapter 7 liquidations and chapter 11 reorganizations. He brings and defends adversary proceedings, prosecutes plans of reorganization under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code, and assists clients with negotiations to avoid bankruptcy altogether. Mr. Gragg was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Business Litigation from 2024-26 and was nominated as one of The Best Lawyers in America’s “Ones to Watch” in Commercial Litigation in 2026. Prior to entering law school, he worked as a recovery agent for a collections agency. Mr. Gragg received his B.A. in economics summa cum laude from Azusa Pacific University and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, where he won Best Draft and Best Oral Argument awards in transactional and moot court competitions.
