Brian E. Greer is a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig LLP’s New York office who advises creditors, debtors and equity investors on complex cross‑border and domestic restructurings, bankruptcies, liquidations, liability‑management transactions and distressed M&A. He regularly guides institutional clients — including insurance company investment arms, private credit lenders, private-equity funds, hedge funds, asset-managers, securitization servicers, debt-issuers, equity sponsors and directors — through stressed and distressed situations and opportunistic transactions across a broad range of industries. Mr. Greer’s award‑winning practice has earned recognition from IFLR 1000 and The Legal 500, and he has worked on deals honored by The American Lawyer and The M&A Advisor. He received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he served as research editor for the Hofstra Law Review.
