Brittani Bushman

Brittani Bushman is an associate at Skoubye Nielson Johansen & Baxter in Salt Lake City, where she represents clients in civil disputes in state and federal courts. She is licensed to practice in Utah and New York. Ms. Bushman’s areas of focus involve transportation law, construction law and bankruptcy. Prior to joining Skoubye Nielson Johansen & Baxter, she was a judicial law clerk to Hon. Brian D. Lynch (ret.) in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington and to Hon. John T. Gregg in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan. Prior to law school, Ms. Bushman worked as a personal financial counselor and educator, where she advised numerous individuals and families on their financial circumstances and often helped her clients get out of debt, improve their credit or evaluate the benefits of bankruptcy. This experience led to her interest in bankruptcy law and her decision to attend law school. Ms. Bushman received her B.S. in 2014 in family, consumer and human development from Utah State University, and her J.D. in 2021 summa cum laude from Albany Law School, where she served as executive editor on the Albany Law Review and worked or interned for a chapter 7 trustee, the U.S. Trustee, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah. She also was awarded the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy Distinguished Bankruptcy Law Student Award for the Second Circuit.
