Bio

David L. Going is a partner with Armstrong Teasdale LLP in St. Louis, Mo., where he guides distressed businesses, lenders and creditors in complex insolvency proceedings. He provides targeted, strategic advice in the handling of business reorganizations, bankruptcy litigation and creditor’s rights issues. As a bankruptcy litigator, Mr. Going has both defended and prosecuted fraudulent conveyance actions arising from alleged Ponzi schemes, leveraged buyouts and insider transactions. A Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, he speaks and writes on these topics regularly for professional and trade groups. Mr. Going is an adjunct faculty member at the Washington University School of Law, where he co-teaches a course on chapter 11 reorganizations. He also served as a member of the Eighth Circuit’s Admissions Council from 2011-15. Mr. Going has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers Business Edition. He received his A.B. in management sciences and accounting from Duke University in 1980 and his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 1983, where he served as senior editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly.
