
Hon. K. Rodney May
K. Rodney May is a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa, ap- pointed on Dec. 18, 2003. Previously, he was a partner in the Orlando law firm of Gronek & Latham, LLP and was a partner for 16 years in the Orlando office of Foley & Lardner. From 1975-84, he served in Washington, D.C., as special counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission. Judge May ap- pears annually as an invited speaker in the Advanced Bankruptcy Seminar at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He is the principal co-author of "Chapter 16 -The Impact of Bankruptcy" in the Florida Bar's handbook, Florida Construction Law and Practice, and is a past president of the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association. Judge May received his undergraduate and graduate degrees, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Florida and his J.D. from Duke University.
