
Hon. Paul M. Glenn
Hon. Paul ?Bill? M. Glenn is a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida in Jacksonville, appointed in 1993. He served as Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District from March 2003 through September 2011. Prior to his appointment, he practiced corporate and commercial law in Jacksonville and Miami, and had been the chief executive and administrative officers of two insurance\ncompanies. Judge Glenn has been a featured speaker or panelist at continuing legal education sessions\nfor the American Bar Association, ABI, the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, the American\nCollege of Bankruptcy, the Turnaround Management Association, the Equipment Leasing and Finance\nAssociation, the Florida Bar, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and local bar associations. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Florida and Stetson University Colleges of Law, and at Florida Coastal School of Law. He is also a contributing editor for the Norton Handbook for Bankruptcy Trustees, Debtors in Possession, and Committees. In 2005, Judge Glenn was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, and in 2007 he was honored by the Hillsborough County Bar Association with the Robert W. Patton Outstanding Jurist Award. He has traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia, on an international judges visitation, and he has spoken to visiting judges from Russia.\nHe has also been a speaker at international seminars in Budapest, Hungary, and in Toronto. Judge Glenn has served as president and a director of the Ferguson-White American Inn of Court in Tampa, Fla. In 2010, he was elected to the National Board of Trustees of the American Inns of Court Foundation. He recently served as president of the Chester Bedell American Inn of Court in Jacksonville, which was awarded Platinum status in the Achieving Excellence Program. In 2013, Judge Glenn was appointed to the Budget Committee of the Judicial Conference of the United States and served until 2017. In 2014, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Bankruptcy Inn Alliance of the America Inns of Court at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. Judge Glenn received his B.A. cum laude from Florida State University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa and Gold Key, and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, where he was president of the\nLaw School Student Body.\n
