Jason M. Reed
Bio
Jason M. Reed is a partner with Maslon LLP in Minneapolis and co-chairs its Financial Services Group. He focuses his legal practice on corporate trustee representation, issues relating to corporate trust litigation, and bankruptcy concerns. His varied bankruptcy practice includes the representation of both secured and unsecured creditors, as well as the representation of creditors’ committees and defending financial and banking-related litigation. Outside of bankruptcy, Mr. Reed’s practice includes the restructuring of municipal projects, including senior housing, long-term care facilities and hospitals. His other areas of specialization include such commercial financing transactions as commercial lending and asset-based lending. Prior to joining Maslon, Mr. Reed clerked for Hon. Robert Littlefield, Jr. at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York. He received his Bachelor’s degree in integrative physiology from the University of Colorado and his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he served as lead managing editor of the Journal of Law and Inequality and was the recipient of the Kent Wennerstrom Award – Outstanding Student Director 2012-13. After graduation, he taught the University of Minnesota Law School’s Civil Practice Clinic course throughout the 2016-17 academic year.
