Bio
Julia Zhu, CFA, CFE is a senior associate with The Brattle Group, Inc. in New York and practice co-leader of its Alternative Investments division. She specializes in complex financial transaction disputes involving business and securities valuation, and has expertise in M&A litigation, bankruptcy, corporate restructuring and alternative investments. Ms. Zhu has experience in financial advisory and litigation consulting. She has issued valuation reports, conducted extensive analysis on matters related to solvency, fraudulent conveyance, M&A disputes, and hedge fund/private equity industry custom and practice, and published research on bankruptcy and corporate restructuring. Ms. Zhu has advised clients in various consulting, litigation and regulatory engagements in a wide range of industries, including financial services, retail, technology and hospitality. She has worked with numerous high-profile economic and financial experts, and is experienced in various phases of legal proceedings, including deposition, trial and arbitration. Prior to joining Brattle, Ms. Zhu worked at a boutique financial consultancy, where she worked on a variety of bankruptcy, M&A and alternative investments cases. She also gained experience at a Big Four firm, where she performed valuations of fixed-income securities and private-equity investments. Ms. Zhu received her B.S. in economics from Fudan University in Shanghai and her Master’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland.
