Bio

Kelly W. McDonald is a partner at Murray, Plumb & Murray in Portland, Maine, and chairs its Bankruptcy & Business Reorganization Practice Group. His practice focuses on all types of civil litigation, with an emphasis on bankruptcy litigation. Mr. McDonald works directly with clients and in-house counsel and has represented a diverse array of clients in federal and state courts across multiple jurisdictions. He has served as president of the Maine State Bar Association and of the Cumberland Bar Association, as as chair of the Police Citizen Review Subcommittee for the City of Portland. Prior to law school, Mr. McDonald taught high school and middle school math, served as crew aboard a tall ship, and owned and operated a translation business in Krakow, Poland. He received his undergraduate degree from Bates College and his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School.
