Bio

Kenneth D. Kraft is a partner in Dentons Canada’s Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Group, where he leads the firm’s Toronto insolvency team and serves as regional co-lead. With extensive experience in insolvency and finance, both secured and unsecured, he advises lenders, borrowers and insolvency professionals on receiverships, informal restructurings, and proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. He has been involved in numerous Canada/U.S. cross-border filings, along with proceedings in England, France, Australia and Israel. Mr. Kraft has been repeatedly recognized for his expertise in restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy-related directories, including Chambers, Lexpert and Canada’s Best Lawyers. He is a member of the International Insolvency Institute and INSOL, and he sits on ABI’s Board of Directors. In 2009, Mr. Kraft was one of just two Canadian lawyers nominated for the BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms, which honors superior client service delivered to corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and other large companies. In 2011, he was recognized for his expertise in Insolvency & Restructuring Law in Corporate INTL Magazine’s “50 Best Lawyers in Canada.” Mr. Kraft received his LL.B. in 1989 from York University, Osgoode Hall Law School and his LL.M. in 1996 from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
