Bio

Lisa S. Tsai is the managing partner and co-founder of Reid Collins & Tsai in Austin, Texas. She represents plaintiffs in complex business disputes, including financial fraud, professional liability, legal malpractice, fiduciary duty litigation and intellectual property matters, securing hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries and winning a Top 50 U.S. verdict against Credit Suisse that was affirmed after appeals. Ms. Tsai has been named in The Best Lawyers in America for her work with private and hedge funds and is a Lawdragon Legend and multiple-time Lawdragon 500 honoree. In addition, she has been recognized by Law360, the National Law Journal and Benchmark Litigation. Active in professional and community organizations, she has served as chair of the State Bar of Texas Asian Pacific Interest Section (which awarded her the Justice David Wellington Chew Award), president of the Austin Asian American Bar Association, chair of the Austin Bar Association Bench Bar Committee, vice chair of the City of Austin Ethics Review Commission and board secretary of the Texas Fair Defense Project, and she serves on boards for the University of Texas Law School Foundation and the Texas Law Review Association while mentoring law students. She also has been honored as a Pathfinder by the Travis County Women Lawyers’ Association and received the Judge Suzanne Covington Pro Bono Service Award for her legal work on behalf of domestic violence victims. Ms. Tsai is licensed in Texas and California and admitted to federal courts in both states, as well as to the Fifth and Ninth Circuits. She received her A.B. in politics with highest honors from Princeton University, and her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served on the Texas Law Review.
