Martin A. Cauz

Martin A. Cauz, CPA, CIRA is the founder of Beechwood Consulting Group LLC in Kinnelon, N.J., a boutique advisory firm specializing in restructuring and turnaround services for lower-middle-market companies. He began his career in audit at KPMG. Mr. Cauz has more than 25 years of of experience in providing professional services to companies, including more than 20 years focused on guiding businesses through complex restructurings and turnarounds. He has advised financially distressed organizations across a range of industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, professional sports and senior living, such as skilled-nursing facilities, assisted-living providers, and continuing-care retirement communities. He also has provided companies with expertise in strategic and contingency planning, liquidity and cash management, cash-flow forecasting, turnaround execution, negotiation, and the facilitation of pragmatic solutions to complex challenges. Mr. Cauz currently serves as CRO for a skilled-nursing facility in chapter 11 and recently completed an independent board role with Petersen Health Care, one of the largest nursing home operators in the U.S., during its chapter 11 proceedings. Previously, he served as CEO of a $250 million health care company during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Cauz received his B.A. in accounting from Moravian College.
