Matthew O. Talmo
Bio
Matthew O. Talmo is a partner with Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP in Wilmington, Del., where he focuses on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy. He has been involved in complex chapter 11 proceedings and reorganization matters, representing various parties in interest, including debtors, official and ad hoc committees, asset purchasers, debtor-in-possession (DIP) lenders and creditors. Mr. Talmo has been included in The Best Lawyers in America’s “Ones to Watch” list for Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law. He devotes a portion of his time to pro bono matters, including representing clients in matters in the Family Court for the State of Delaware. In law school, Mr. Talmo participated in the University of Maryland Myerowitz Moot Court Competition and served on the moot court board. He also was a Certified Student Lawyer at the University of Maryland’s Appellate Advocacy Clinic, where he represented clients in direct appeals of their criminal convictions. Mr. Talmo received his B.A. in political science in 2012 from the University of Delaware, and his J.D. with honors in 2016 from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.
