Michael B. Schaedle
Bio
Michael B. Schaedle is a partner in Blank Rome LLP’s Finance, Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice Group in Philadelphia, where he concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, reorganizations and workouts, debt and equity restructuring, and commercial and public debt transactions. He routinely represents secured creditors, creditors’ and other committees and creditor groups, contract counterparties, asset-purchasers and plan-of-reorganization proponents, trustees, debtors, foreign representatives and other fiduciaries. Mr. Schaedle is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a member of the International Insolvency Institute, and he is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. He is part of the steering committee for ABI’s Complex Financial Restructuring Program (CFRP) and has served on the program’s faculty for many years. He also serves on the advisory board for ABI’s Views from the Bench program, for which he has occasionally served as a speaker. Mr. Schaedle routinely publishes on bankruptcy topics, previously served as an editor for an ABI publication and is ranked by Chambers USA as a leading bankruptcy lawyer. He received his B.A. cum laude with distinction in major from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
