Bio
Michael P. Keller is a partner and portfolio manager with Credit Value Partners, LP in Nashville, Tenn.,and has developed and currently oversees the firm’s Direct Lending and Investment Platform. He has experience in all levels of the capital structure: secured debt, mezzanine and equity. He also has experience in asset management, restructuring, valuation and the monetization/liquidation of various types of asset pools. Over his career, Mr. Keller has managed more than $20 billion in assets and has specific expertise in health care, manufacturing and the media/communications sectors. He also is responsible for the firm’s Debtor-in-Possession (DIP) financing initiatives, as well as all health care investments forCredit Value Partners, LP. Mr. Keller previously served as president of Shannon Capital Management,LLC., a boutique middle-market debt advisory firm. At Shannon Capital, Mr. Keller worked with a number of companies assisting in corporate restructurings and capital raises. In particular, he advised a non-profit, safety-net hospital on an operational restructuring and capital raise. He also helped a distressed investment firm acquire a $150 million portfolio of distressed middle-market loans. Prior to foundingShannon, Mr. Keller was a member of CapitalSource Finance’s senior management team and held many leadership positions, including head of CapitalSource’s Restructuring Group. In this role, he was responsible for the management, restructuring and monetization of CapitalSource’s stressed loan portfolio (this included cash flow, ABL and real estate loans). Mr. Keller also headed a team that served as “SpecialServicer” of a $250 million pool of distressed health care assets. In this role, he reported directly to the creditors of a bankrupt health care finance company. Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. Keller served as the CRO for the $1.8 billion health care finance division of FINOVA on behalf of Berkadia, LLC, a joint venture between Berkshire Hathaway and Leucadia National Corp. He received his B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois and his M.B.A. from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
