
Mr. Brian D. Pfeiffer
Brian D. Pfeiffer is a partner in the New York office of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, where his practice extends to all aspects of in-court and out-of-court restructurings of financially distressed businesses, including representations of corporate debtors, official and unofficial creditors' and equity committees, bondholder committees, lenders, and purchasers and sellers of distressed assets and businesses. He has represented creditors' committees, significant creditors, lenders, purchasers and equity committees in connection with the restructuring, sale, liquidation or financing of distressed businesses in a wide array of industries. Mr. Pfeiffer's representations of official and ad hoc creditors' committees include Petro- plus Finance Ltd., Downey Financial Corp., Washington Mutual Inc., Colonial BancGroup Inc., FBOP Corp., Reliant Energy Channelview LP, Dana Corp. and Pope & Talbot Inc.; he also represents or has represented significant creditors in the bankruptcy/insolvency cases of NII Holdings, Texas Competitive Energy Holdings, Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, General Motors, Nova Scotia Finance Co. and Inland Fiber Group LLC. Mr. Pfeiffer is recognized in The Legal 500 United States and was named "Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer" in 2008 by Turnarounds & Workouts. He is a mem- ber of the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Pfeiffer received his his B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany in 1996 and his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 1999.
