Mr. Charles E. Mortimer

Charles E. Mortimer, Jr. is deputy regulation counsel with the Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel in Denver. He was liscensed to practice law in Colorado in 1986 and spent 14 years in private practice focusing on family, commercial and real estate litigation. Mr. Mortimer has served on the Thursday Night Bar Association board of directors, the First Judicial District Board of Trustees and Governor Owens' Commission on Civil Justice Reform. He is a former chair of the Colorado Lawyer's Fidelity Fund and served as a trustee on the Colorado Lawyer's Fund for Client Protection. Mr. Mortimer is a frequent speaker on legal ethics and regulation of the legal profession, and edits the chapter "Ethics in Family Law" in the Practitioner's Guide to Family Law. He has also authored articles on legal ethics for The Docket. Mr. Mortimer received his undergraduate degree rom Tufts University in 1983 and his J.D. from the College of William and Mary in 1986.
