
Mr. Daniel W. Sklar
Daniel W. Sklar is a partner with Nixon Peabody LLP in Manchester, N.H., where he focuses on distressed-debt restructuring, asset sales and liquidations. He also works with informal debt restructur- ings and going-concern sales of distressed businesses. Mr. Sklar represents dozens of banks and lend- ers in regards to various types of loans, and counsels several middle-market companies in regards to ordinary-course-of-business issues. He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court and is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. Mr. Sklar is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy and a frequent lecturer. He is a past president of the Manchester Bar Association and and is a member of the News Committee of the New Hampshire Bar Association, as well as an ABI member. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1988, which named him "Manchester Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Lawyer of the Year" in 2011, and in Chambers USA in 2011 for his bankruptcy work. He has also been recognized as a "New England Super Lawyer" in Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights by Boston Magazine. Mr. Sklar received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, his J.D. cum laude from Boston College Law School and his LL.M. from Boston University School of Law.
