Mr. David B. Wheeler

David B. Wheeler is a member of Moore & Van Allen PLLC in Charleston, S.C., where he concen- trates on the representation of creditors, bankruptcy, workouts, foreclosures, restructuring and all other forms of practice in the creditors' rights area. Mr. Wheeler routinely appears in other jurisdictions as well, including Delaware and the Southern District of New York. He frequently participates in seminar presentations and publishes articles in the area of creditors' rights and bankruptcy, in particular. Mr. Wheeler is also a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association. An ABI member since 1994, he is a co-author of the ABI Preference Handbook, has contributed articles to the ABI Journal and is a former ABI Board member. Mr. Wheeler is regularly named as a South Carolina Super Lawyer in the area of bankruptcy law and is an active member of the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association, and is a former member of the South Carolina Supreme Court Bankruptcy and Debtor/Creditor Law Specialization Board. In addition, he was a reporter for the Avoiding Powers Advisory Committee to ABI's Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11. He earned both his B.S. and J.D. at the University of South Carolina.
