
Mr. David E. Leta
David E. Leta is a partner at the law firm of Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. in Salt Lake City, where his practice concentrates on bankruptcy litigation, business reorganizations and creditors' rights. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Utah State Bar (for which he was organizer and first chairman of the Bankruptcy Section), a former chair of the advisory board for ABI's Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference, a Fellow and former Tenth Circuit Regent in the American College of Bankruptcy, a di- rector of the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation, and a member of the Pro Bono Committee of the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation. Mr. Leta is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Ninth and Tenth Circuits, the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, the U.S. Tax Court and the Supreme Court of Utah. Since 1995, he has been con- sintuously recognized in The Best Lawyers in America. He has also been recognized multiple years in Utah Business as one of the "Utah 100 Legal Elite" and as a "Top 10 Super Lawyer" in Super Lawyers, Intermountain Region. Mr. Leta has been a presenter and lecturer at numerous seminars and continuing legal education programs, and has published various articles on bankruptcy-related topics. He received his undergraduate degree in 1973 with high honors from the State University of New York at Bingham- ton and his J.D. in 1976 from the University of Utah College of Law, where he served on its law review editorial board and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
