Mr. David M. Powlen

David M. Powlen is a partner with Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a managing partner in its Wilmington, Del., office, and he chairs its Finance, Insolvency & Restructuring Department. He represents a variety of parties in business and financing transactions, out-of-court restructurings, chapter 11 cases, related adversary proceedings, receiverships and other insolvency situations. Previously, Mr. Powlen worked as a financial advisor and investment banker and co-chaired ABI's Financial Advisors and Investment Banking Committee. He has been a member of the advisory boards for ABI's Mid-Atlantic and Central States Bankruptcy Workshops and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Powlen received both his A.B. and his J.D. from Harvard College.
