Mr. Guy G. Gebhardt

Guy G. Gebhardt is the Acting U.S. Trustee for Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Is- lands (Region 21) in Atlanta, appointed by Attorney General Eric Holder on Jan. 12, 2013. Previously, he had served as the Assistant U.S. Trustee in the Atlanta office. Mr. Gebhardt has participated in nu- merous working groups to implement U.S. Trustee Program (USTP) priorities that include coordinating national enforcement against identity theft and unlawful "foreclosure rescue" operations, tracking and reporting civil enforcement activities, and streamlining field office operations. He received the Direc- tor's Award for Exemplary Service for his longstanding contributions to the USTP. Before joining the USTP in 1991, Mr. Gebhardt practiced law in Atlanta for 17 years. He is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association's Bankruptcy Section and the State Bar of Georgia's Bankruptcy Section, as well as ABI. Mr. Gebhardt received his undergraduate degree cum laude from Illinois Wesleyan University and, after completing active duty in the U.S. Army, received his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law.
