Mr. Ignacio Quesada

Ignacio Quesada is a managing director with Alvarez & Marsal in Mexico City, where his primary fo- cus is on the energy and financial sectors, strategy development, supply-chain management and financial evaluation. He has worked in a variety of industries and has more than 20 years of experience in strategy operations, improvement and financial solutions. Previously, Mr. Quesada was CFO of PEMEX, where he contributed to the development of new business collaboration schemes, including the performance contracts and JVs between PEMEX and private-sector companies. He also served as chief of staff to the minister at Mexico's Treasury office and to the secretary of the Ministry of Social Development. During that time, he participated in an anti-money laundering initiative, the United Nations' high-level task force for financial instruments for climate change, the task force for the AH1N1 crisis, and the de- velopment of a new payment scheme for social programs. Mr. Quesada has worked extensively to assist companies in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Spain and South Africa across the oil and gas and energy sectors. He received his undergraduate degree in checmical engineering from the Universidad Nacional AutÂ?noma de MÂ?xico and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
