Mr. Kevin Lavin

Kevin Lavin, CIRA is co-president and global head of the Turnaround & Restructuring Practice at Ankura Consulting Group, LLC in New York. He has more than 30 years of business consulting ex- perience, including more than 25 years of experience advising owners, boards of directors and senior management, as well as the creditor constituencies of underperforming and distressed companies and municipalities. Mr. Lavin has played a key role in the turnaround and/or restructuring of over 100 com- panies and municipalities around the globe and across a broad range of industries. He has also served in interim management roles, including CEO, COO, CFO and CRO. Prior to joining Ankura, Mr. Lavin was appointed by the Governor of New Jersey in January 2015 to serve as the emergency manager of Atlantic City, N.J. Previously, he was the global co-leader of the FTI Consulting Corporate Finance/ Restructuring practice, where he managed more than 1,000 personnel and more than $400 million in worldwide revenue. He also served as a member of FTI Consulting's Executive Committee. Mr. Lavin has led strategic efforts to bring together disparate stakeholder groups and has played a lead role in many of the largest restructurings around the globe, including Puerto Rico's Power and Highway Authorities, MF Global, Lehman Brothers, LyondellBasell, Centro Properties Group, ResCap, Global Crossing, CIT, General Growth Properties, Extended Stay Hotels, City of Philadelphia and CBASS, as well as several large monoline insurance companies. He received his B.S. in accounting from Manhattan College.
