Mr. Patrick A. Clisham

Patrick A. Clisham is a managing shareholder at Engelman Berger, PC in Phoenix, where he focuses his practice on the representation of parties in all aspects of commercial bankruptcies, receiverships and workouts. He joined Engelman Berger in 2009 after relocating from Chicago, where he was an extern to the U.S. Trustee program during law school and practiced law at a nationally recognized bankruptcy boutique firm for more than five years. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Clisham was a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (1996-2001) and served as assistant vice president of Law & Government Affairs for AT&T Communications (2002-04). Mr. Clisham has been a member of the ABI since 2005 and currently serves on ABI's Board of Directors. In 2007, he received the Award for Excellence in Public Interests and Legal Education from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois for his role in developing and advancing the Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE) program in Chicago. He continues to actively support the CARE Program through his service on its national Board of Directors and on its Executive Committee as Secretary (2016-preent). Mr. Clisham has authored numerous published articles on commercial bankruptcy and restructuring, including serving as Contributing Editor and Co-Author of the monthly ABI Benchnotes article in the ABI Journal from 2015-2022 . Mr. Clisham received his J.D. cum laude in 2002 from DePaul University College of Law.
