Mr. Paul J. Ricotta

Paul J. Ricotta is a partner at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC in the firm's Boston and New York offices. He has more than 30 years of experience in commercial workouts, bankrupt- cies and other insolvency proceedings, and has represented numerous types of debtors and creditors in diverse industries in bankruptcy courts around the U.S. and internationally in cross-border insolvency cases. Mr. Ricotta has particular expertise in representing indenture trustees and bondholders in finan- cially distressed situations. He is a past member of the board of trustees of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Association (MCLE), and the current treasurer and a member of the executive commit- tee of the board of directors of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys. Mr. Ricotta has au- thored numerous articles and publications for the ABI Journal, Corporate Finance Review, Bankruptcy Strategist, New York Law Journal and the Journal of Corporate Renewal, among others, and has writ- ten chapters on bankruptcy practice in books published by Thomson Reuters. He has also lectured on insolvencies and secured lending for professional organizations, bar associations and industry groups, including the American Bar Association, ABI, Turnaround Management Association and Commercial Finance Association. A Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, Mr. Ricotta has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business since 2001. He received his A.B. cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1978 and a combined J.D./M.B.A. from the State University of New York in 1982.
