Mr. Robert A. Soriano

Robert A. Soriano is a sole practitioner with Soriano Law, P.A. in Tampa, Fla., and has more than 35 years of experience representing a wide variety of business clients in bankruptcy cases, commercial litigation and transactions. He has represented clients in and out of court on matters that have resulted in the restructuring of billions of dollars of debt, litigating and negotiating many complex commercial and bankruptcy law issues; represented corporate debtors, creditors' committees, sellers and purchasers of assets, indenture trustees and bondholders, landlords, and significant creditors; participated in cor- porate restructurings; and served as a mediator of disputes and plans of reorganization. Previously, Mr. Soriano clerked for Hon. Mark A. Costantino, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of New York, and worked at international law firms in New York and Florida before opening his own firm. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, has received the highest rating in Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Business Lawyers, was listed as one of the "Top 100 Lawyers in Florida" from 2006- 14 in Super Lawyers, and was named 2014 Tampa Lawyer of the Year by The Best Lawyers in America for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law. He is also a contribut- ing editor to the Collier Bankruptcy Practice Guide and Chapter 11 Theory and Practice. A Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, Mr. Soriano is a founding director of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association. He received his A.B. from Rutgers University and his J.D. cum laude from Syracuse University, where he served as senior notes and comments editor of its law review.
