Mr. Thomas E. Springer

Thomas E. Springer is a member and attorney with Springer Brown, LLC in Wheaton, Ill. He was also appointed to the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division in 2000 and has been serving since that time. Mr. Springer has served as court-appointed trustee, examiner and receiver and regularly represents trustees, receivers and examiners in both federal and state court. His law practice concentrates exclusively in the areas of bankruptcy and debt resolution on behalf of debtors, creditors and trustees in all chapters of bankruptcy and bankruptcy-related law, chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 debtor and creditor representation, commercial bankruptcy representation, bankruptcy and commercial litigation, commercial and consumer workouts and structured settlements, assignments for benefit of creditors, bankruptcy appeals and bankruptcy trustee representation, with special emphasis on Chicago suburb legal needs. Mr. Springer is an author and contributing speaker for ABI, Region 11 U.S. Trustee Conferences, Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, Illinois Credit Union League, USFN Legal Issues Seminar, REOMAC Annual Bankruptcy and Practice seminar, Strategies for Consumer Bankruptcy Trustees: Leading Lawyers on Analyzing the Role of the Trustee in the Bank- ruptcy Process (Thomson Reuters/Aspatore, 2012) and the DuPage County Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee, of which he is a former chair. He is a member of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, ABI and the American Bar Association, and is admitted to the Illinois State Bar, the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Springer receieved his B.A. from Purdue University in 1984 and his J.D.from DePaul University College of Law in 1991, where he was a member of the DePaul Business Law Journal.
