Organizational Development and Transformation \n \nMs. Kopacz served as CEO for The NCHERM Group which included two nonprofit associations and a mission based consulting and training business operated for profit. While the firm?s expertise in civil rights, Title IX, and risk management for educational institutions was well regarded, the underlying operational functions were in disarray and impeding client services. In less than three years including Covid, Ms. Kopacz generated a 60% increase in revenue with 350% growth in profitability by delivering exemplary mission based services, right resourcing the workforce with higher skilled team members and selected outplacement, redefined job positions, and steered internal professional development activities. She revamped the company?s orientation to technology, aligning IT and Business Analytics core departments with applications that better serve the company?s shifting needs, overhauled internal operations for marketing and business development, finance, talent management, consulting, content development, and completed the first GAAP audit of the firm. \n \nMs. Kopacz founded and served as National Managing Principal for Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Services at Grant Thornton LLP. She built a world-class practice, attracting ?A? talent and generating over $125 million in revenues and $30 million in profits in less than four years. Ms. Kopacz had full P&L and operational accountability for personnel matters, marketing and branding, and policies and procedures including client service standards, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements. She sourced, negotiated, and integrated the firm?s acquisition of an industry focused consulting practice, enhancing Grant Thornton?s capabilities across three continents. \n \nAs Chief Restructuring Officer, Ms. Kopacz developed operational and financial business plan for Lykes Brothers Steamship, $500 million European/African/U.S. transportation business that allowed company to meet needs of major corporate customers, including the U.S. government and military while evaluating strategic alternatives. \n \nSelected Experience ? Public Sector and Not for Profit \n \nMs. Kopacz was the independent financial advisor to the judicial mediation team for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico during the $80 billion restructuring. Ms. Kopacz focused on operational issues affecting key departments and services provided by the Commonwealth including the Puerto Rico Electric and Power Authority, Highway Transportation Authority, the General Development Bank, and the University of Puerto Rico, among others. \n \nMs. Kopacz was the independent expert hired by the Court to advise on the restructuring of the City of Detroit and assess the feasibility of the City?s future plans.
