
Ms. Annette W. Jarvis
Annette W. Jarvis is a co-managing shareholder of the Salt Lake City office of Greenberg Traurig\nLLP, where she represents banks, financial institutions and other parties on matters related to chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, out-of-court workouts and cross-border insolvency cases. Her experience\nincludes representing creditors, debtors, boards of directors, trustees, receivers, public bondholders, purchasers of distressed assets, and indenture trustees and foreign representatives. She also has\nwide-ranging experience in receivership cases and has handled Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) cases brought under the Securities Investor Protection Act of 1970 (SIPA), and she has experience with state insurance rehabilitation and liquidation cases. Ms. Jarvis advises clients on the complex cases remedying the problems created by fraudulent enterprises, including Ponzi schemes, and by mass torts. She also has testified as an expert witness on aspects of U.S. bankruptcy law. Ms. Jarvis is a frequent lecturer and writer on bankruptcy and insolvency law topics, and co-authored ABI?s How Secure Are You? Secured Creditors in Commercial and Consumer Bankruptcies. She also is involved in many community and mentoring efforts; in recognition of this work, she received the Third Annual Christine M. Durham Public Service Award, the 2014 Women Lawyers of Utah Mentoring Award, and the Dorothy Merrill Brothers Award for the Advancement of Women in the Legal Profession from the Utah State Bar in 2005.
