Ms. Barbara L. Yong

Barbara L. Yong is a partner with Golan & Christie, LLP in Chicago, where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, reorganization and bankruptcy. She represents both debtors and creditors in chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings, and her representative clients have included individual and corporate debtors, banks, equipment leasing companies, trustees and receivers. She has also tried cases in state and federal courts and handled appeals before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Fifth and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals. Ms. Yong is a member of the American, Illinois, Chicago, DuPage County and Wom- en's Bar Associations, as well as ABI, the Illinois CPA Society, TMA and the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. She is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, has been listed in Illinois Super Lawyers every year since 2005 and has been recognized as a "Leading Lawyer" in Illinois. Ms. Yong received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in 1979, where she gradu- ated Phi Beta Kappa, and her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1982.
