Bio

Claire Ann Richman is a member of Richman & Richman LLC in Madison, Wisconsin, where she concentrates her practice in bankruptcy, business dispute resolution, commercial and claims litigation, and real estate. Ms. Richman (formerly Resop) is appointed as a chapter 7 panel trustee for the Western District of Wisconsin, and was a member of the Ethics Committee for the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (“NABT”), as well as a member of the NABT’s New Trustee Advisory Committee. She was chair of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Convention Committee and of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Creditors’ Rights Section, as well as co-chair of its Legislative Committee. She has been a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (“ABI”), and of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation for many years, served on ABI’s National Board of Directors, and was chair of ABI’s Central States Advisory Board. She is a Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation, and President of the Board of the Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society, a premier chamber music festival held annually in Madison. She is co-chair of Symphony at Sunset (formerly Concert on the Green), the largest fundraiser for the Madison Symphony Orchestra League. She is also a frequent speaker on bankruptcy topics at national and regional conferences. In 2005, she was recognized as one of the “Top 25 Female SuperLawyers” in Wisconsin, and has been subsequently honored as a “SuperLawyerer”. Ms. Richman received her B.A. from Marquette University in 1987 and her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1993.
