Ms. Jan Marie Hayden

Jan M. Hayden is a shareholder with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC in New Orleans, where she focuses her practice on chapter 11 reorganizations and has represented creditors and debtors in mass tort bankruptcies. She represents trustees, debtors-in-possession, committees and credi- tors across a variety of industries. Ms. Hayden has served on the local Bankruptcy Rules Committee and served two terms as chair of the Consumer Protection, Lender Liability and Bankruptcy section of the Louisiana State Bar Association, for which she has also co-chaired its Continuing Legal Education com- mittee. Ms. Hayden is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and the American Bar Founda- tion. She received the Woman of the Year in Restructuring Award from the International Women's Insol- vency & Restructuring Confederation in 2011 and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, New Orleans City Business, New Orleans Magazine and Chambers USA. Ms. Hayden received her B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1976 and her J.D. from Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1979, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and its law review.
