Ms. Jennifer V. Doran

Jennifer V. Doran is a partner in the Corporate and Business Practice Group of Hinckley, Allen & Snyder LLP in Boston and chairs the firm's Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Creditors' Rights Group. She focuses her practice on commercial law issues, with an emphasis on privately-held businesses, commer- cial transactions and creditors' rights. Ms. Doran represents creditors in insolvency and bankruptcy mat- ters, including workouts, preference and fraudulent transfer actions, the assumption of real estate leases, single-purpose-entity structures, the acquisition of assets from bankruptcy, and other issues facing both secured and unsecured creditors. She also focuses on insolvency issues relating to owners, general con- tractors, subcontractors, suppliers and others in the construction industry, and represents indenture trust- ees on a variety of corporate trust matters, including default issues. She also represents corporate clients with respect to succession planning, intergenerational issues and business disputes. Ms. Doran is admit- ted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Rhode Island, and she co-chairs the New England Network of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. She received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she was articles editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine and a dean's scholar.
