
Ms. Kimberly Ross Clayson
Kimberly R. Clayson is a subchapter V chapter 11 bankruptcy trustee in the Eastern District of Michi-gan, as well as a bankruptcy and business law attorney with Maxwell Dunn, PLC in Detroit. Her bankruptcy practice supports consumers and businesses who have faced financial setbacks and have utilized bankruptcy relief for a fresh start. Her business practice is centered around offering customized small business legal advisory support to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs in making sound business and legal decisions to prevent financial hardship. Ms. Clayson has been a member of ABI since 2007, has presented and written materials for several ABI consumer conferences, and serves on the advisory board for the ABI?s Hon. Eugene R. Wedoff Consumer Bankruptcy Conference. She is a contributor to the Michigan Institute for Continuing Legal Education, having written the bankruptcy causes of action section of ICLE?s most recent edition of the Michigan Causes of Action Formbook, and she addition-ally contributed to ICLE?s recently launched subchapter V chapter 11 training program. In the fall of 2019, Ms. Clayson held an adjunct teaching position with the University of Detroit Mercy School ofLaw, where she taught secured transactions. She received her B.A. in international relations from JamesMadison College at Michigan State University with an emphasis in economics, and her J.D. from theUniversity of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she earned the 2004 Book Award for excellence in her writing and research course.
