Ms. Nancy A. Mitchell

Nancy A. Mitchell is co-chair of Greenberg Traurig , LLP's National Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice and co-managing shareholder of its New York office. She has more than 30 years of experi- ence in restructuring and corporate finance as both an attorney and an investment banker. Ms. Mitchell's practice focuses on representing debtors, acquirers and creditors in complex distressed situations. She regularly works on complex distressed deals that involve identifying common ground among the con- stituents or points of leverage to drive negotiations. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Mitchell served as an executive director for CIBC World Markets Corp., where she was a member of its restructuring/lever- aged finance team, which handled negotiations and the development of financial models for complex re- structuring transactions. She has consistently been recognized in Leading Lawyers Network, Chambers USA Guide, The Legal 500 United States, The Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers. She also was shortlisted in Euromoney Legal Media Group's "America's Women in Business Law Awards" and "Best in Insolvency & Restructuring" in 2016, and was listed in Euromoney's Expert Guides: Women in Business Law in 2014. She also frequently speaks at industry events and conferences. Ms. Mitchell received her B.A./Artium Baccal. in 1984 from Indiana University at Bloomington and her J.D. in 1987 from the University of Michigan Law School.
