Patrick J. Potter
Bio
Patrick Potter is the founder of Washington, D.C. based Potter Law & Consulting, a firm focused on insolvency and restructuring solutions. He has been practicing corporate chapter 11 (representing debtors, creditors, creditor committees, and other constituents), for 37 years and regularly appears in bankruptcy courts throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Patrick represents clients in a broad range of industries, including commercial real estate, construction, health care, hospitality, and energy. His domestic practice is comprised primarily of representing chapter 11 debtors. Patrick has worked internationally on dozens of capacity building projects (including statute and rule drafting and implementation, as well as judicial and practitioner training), since 2014, with a focus on the MENA Region. He has been a speaker and presenter at more than 30 conferences, seminars, workshops, roundtables, and cases study programs in and with MENA Region countries, with a particular emphasis on bankruptcy development and implementation in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Morocco. He has also represented clients in chapter 15 proceedings in the United States. Patrick is an INSOL International Fellow, American Bar Foundation Fellow, and serves on the Membership Committee of the International and the International Insolvency Institute.
