Prateek Shah

Prateek Shah, CPA is a director at Resolution Economics LLC in Austin, Texas, and has more than 20 years of experience advising companies, government agencies and individuals on cases involving intellectual property and commercial damages, valuation, bankruptcy, securities, and class certification and damages. Prior to joining Resolution Economics, he worked at several national consulting firms. As an expert, Mr. Shah has been retained to opine on cases involving valuation, commercial damages, intellectually property damages and forensic accounting issues. Additionally, he frequently supports academic and professional affiliates retained to opine on a wide range of topics, ranging from antitrust issues, likelihood of confusion in trademark disputes and risk management in the mortgage industry. Mr. Shah’s experience spans a wide array of industries, including financial institutions, energy, high-tech, cryptocurrency, retail and pharmaceuticals. In addition to his consulting practice, he is a lecturer (finance) at his alma mater, the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, where he teaches corporate finance and supervises a practicum course. Mr. Shah received his B.A. in economics, his B.B.A. in accounting and his Master’s in professional accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.
