Robert C. Schweitzer

Robert C. Schweitzer is the principal of RCS Mediation & Consulting Services in Boca Raton, Fla., and has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. He currently serves as chairman of the board of 1-800-PetMeds and RiceBran Technologies, and as lead independent director of OmniComm. He was a former lead independent director of Altisource Asset Management. Mr. Sch- weitzer holds certification as a mediator for the Florida Supreme Court and as a FINRA arbitrator. He previously served as president of Shay Investment Services, a registered broker-dealer and investment management company; Florida Regional President Northwest Savings Bank following its acquisition of Equinox Bank, where he was president and CEO; regional president of Union Planters Bank Broward/ Palm Beach; EVP head of Commercial Banking at Barnett Bank/Bank of America in Jacksonville, Fla.; director and head of Real Estate Consulting firm Coopers & Lybrand in Washington, D.C.; SVP manager of Central North America Commercial Real Estate/manager of Credit Review at First National Bank of Chicago; and SVP/manager of Central North America Corporate Banking at Wachovia Bank. Mr. Schweitzer served in the U.S. Navy/Naval Reserve in the Submarine Force for 30 years and retired with a rank of Captain. He received his B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and his M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina ats' Chapel Hill.
