
Mr. George A. Davis
George A. Davis is co-chair of O'Melveny & Meyers's Global Restructuring Practice in New York. He has extensive experience representing major U.S. and international companies in restructurings both in and out of court. Mr. Davis has handled matters for clients in a variety of industries and has deep experience advising boards of directors and representing debtors (including Verso Corp., LyondellBa- sell, CalDive International and Entegra Power Holdings) and creditor groups in complex workouts and restructurings and worldwide. Consistently recognized as one of the leading restructuring lawyers in the U.S., he has been listed in Chambers USA and IFLR 1000, and is frequently recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights, Insolvency and Reorganization, and Bankruptcy Litigation. Mr. Davis has been recognized as an Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer on sev- eral occasions by Turnarounds & Workouts, most recently in 2015. He is a frequent lecturer, speaker and writer on restructuring topics, and he has served as an adjunct professor at the Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Davis received his B.S. magna cum laude in 1986 from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and his J.D. with distinction in 1990 from Hofstra University School of Law.
