Mr. Mark J. Shapiro

Mark J. Shapiro is a managing director and the head of Restructuring at hedge fund PointState Capital LP in New York. Previously, he was head of the Global Restructuring Group in the Investment Banking Division of Barclays Capital from 2008-14 and head of Lehman Brothers Restructuring Group from 2002-08, leading the sale of Lehman Brothers to Barclays Capital. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he was a partner and co-head of the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group at the law firm of Shearman & Sterling. Mr. Shapiro received his B.A. magna cum laude from Hobart College and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.
