Mr. Michael C. Markham

Michael C. Markham is a partner with Johnson Pope Bokor Ruppel & Burns, LLP in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, Fla., where his practice focuses on chapter 11 cases. For nearly 35 years, he has represented virtually every type of constituent in chapter 11 cases, including debtors, trustees, committees, purchasers and creditors of all kinds. Mr. Markham was lead counsel to the chapter 11 trustee in the Brasota Mortgage Co. chapter 11 case in Tampa, lead counsel to the receiver in the TranscontinentalAirlines/Lou Pearlman receivership case in Orlando, Fla., and counsel to the chapter 11 trustee in thePenAir case in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Markham regularly speaks and writes on bankruptcy topics and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America since 2008. He received both his B.S. summa cum laude and his J.D. with honors from Florida State University.
