
Mr. Shawn M. Riley
Shawn M. Riley is the head of the Cleveland office of McDonald Hopkins LLC in Cleveland founded the firm's Business Restructuring Services Department. For more than 25 years, he has advised clients on strategic alternatives, including acquisitions, sales, mergers, affiliations, refinancing, recapitalizations and restructurings. Mr. Riley has experience in a number of industries, including automotive, energy, manufacturing, retail, casual dining, plastics, telecommunications and health care, including community and rural hospitals and long-term care. He has counseled businesses ranging in size from $10 million in revenue to multibillion-dollar public companies. Mr. Riley is a member of ABI and the Turnaround Management Association. He also serves as president of the board of directors for the American Red Cross (Greater Cleveland Chapter) and is a member of the board of trustees for the Cleveland Institute of Music. In addition, from 2011-15, he served as the mayor of the Village of Gates Mills, Ohio. Mr. Riley received his undergraduate degree from Kent State University and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
