
Dr. Reinhard Dammann
Reinhard Dammann is a founding partner of Dammann Avocat in Paris and focuses on national and cross-border restructuring. He also advises international groups of companies in international litigation and ICC arbitration cases, and he intervenes as an expert witness before U.K. courts. Previously, Mr. Dammann was a partner with Clifford Chance in Paris, where he advised on insolvency law, with a par- ticular emphasis on international and cross-border insolvency and restructuring. He has acted for a broad spectrum of clients in such fields as financial institutions, private-equity funds, industrial corporations and insolvency trustees in France and abroad. Mr. Dammann has authored numerous articles published in both specialist and general publications and is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences, in par- ticular on European regulation of insolvency proceedings and French trust law. He also lectures on secu- rities and insolvency law at the laws schools of Sciences Po and the Sorbonne University. Mr. Damman previously spent 19 years with White & Case. A member of the Paris Bar, he holds a Master?s degree and a DESS in business law and is a graduate of the Institut d?Etudes Politiques d?Aix-Marseille III. In 1990, he obtained a doctorate in German civil law from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, after having worked with Prof. Hans-Jürgen Sonnenberger at the Institute of Comparative and Private International Law. He is fluent in French, English and German.
