Mr. David W. King

David W. King is a managing director and serves as national technical director of Mesirow Financial Consulting LLC's Valuation Services practice in Chicago. He has more than 20 years of valuation expe- rience, including the valuation of business equity, partnership interests, debt, preferred stock and corpo- rate assets for clients with valuation issues related to bankruptcy reorganization, fraudulent conveyance, shareholder disputes, contract arbitration, tax planning, financial reporting and strategic planning. Mr. King has served clients in the financial services, energy, manufacturing, consumer products, retail, trans- portation and other industries. He has testified as an expert witness on business valuation in bankruptcy court and is a frequent writer for various professional reference books and periodicals. Prior to joining Mesirow Financial Consulting, Mr. King was a director with Standard & Poor's Corporate Value Con- sulting division (and its predecessors). He also taught courses in finance and economics at Northwestern University and Loyola University of Chicago, and he served a tenure at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. A Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified in Distressed Business Valuation, Mr. King completed advanced studies in the doctoral program in economics at Northwestern University, where he received his Master's degree.
