Mr. Matthew Crawford

Matthew Crawford is a partner with Maples and Calder in George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Is- lands and has significant commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring experience in the financial services sector. He regularly advises financial institutions, hedge funds, limited partnerships, investors and bankruptcy professionals in relation to disputes or other crisis events and appears at all levels of the courts of the Cayman Islands. Previously, he was with Freshfields in London and Russell McVeagh in New Zealand. Mr. Crawford is listed in Legal 500 and Chambers Global and is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales, an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands and a barrister and solicitor in New Zea- land. He received his LL.B. and B.C.A. from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, in 1996 and his B.C.L. with distinction from Worcester College at Oxford in 2000.
